Fans surprise Kerala cricket team captain Sajana, after knowing she has no TV to watch IPL
Wayanad: Kerala women’s cricket team captain Sajana Sajeevan is busy working in a COVID health center when the Indian Premier League is being played in UAE. Although she wants to sit before a television and watch IPL after she returns home, she is unable to do that as the television in her house stopped working a while back. However, a group of fans visited her house with a gift and surprised her as she could not even watch a single match of the IPL.
The members of the Facebook group, Cricket Pranthanmar 24*7, visited Sajana at her house. They had invited Sajana to analyze the game on Facebook Live. However, she had to decline the invitation although she had appeared on their Facebook Live several times in the past. When the admin of the group Badarudddin contacted her, Sajana told him that she did not watch any of the IPL matches this year as the family lost everything in the 2018 floods. The family was still recovering from that, she had said.
The fans could not digest the news that the captain of the Kerala team is not able to watch the IPL matches. All of them joined hands, bought a television, and went to Wayanad to hand it over. The unexpected arrival of the fans was a huge surprise for Sajana as well. Her eyes teared up when she accepted the LED TV along with the jersey of ‘Cricket Pranthanmar’ .
She said that her career is moving ahead with the help of love given to her by Keralites across the world. She added that she will keep the gifts along with the bat that was signed by Gautham Gambhir and other valuable items.
Vasil Mannarkkadu, Chitragupthan Chembara, Najeeb Naji, Prince Francis, CP Hafsal, Siraj Siru were the fans who visited Sajana’s house. ‘Cricket Pranthanmar’ is a Facebook group that has over 3 lakh members, including those from Kerala and Gulf countries.
