Kozhikode: Prajith Jaypal, a wheelchair-bound person who made headlines with a solo car drive from Kozhikode to New Delhi, has come up with another initiative - a exclusive startup to search jobs for the differently abled pesons.
The startup located near Kozhikode civil station has been inaugurated by Collector Dr N Tej Lohit Reddy. As part of the inauguration, Baveesh Balan, a differently-abled person from Thamarassery, was appointed as a Customer Care Officer.
The startup named as Maarga Career and Job Consultancy caters to the differently abled community and aid them in finding job opportunities. The platform serves as a mediator between companies seeking employees and the differently-abled individuals.
Apart from this, job seekers are trained to improve their skillsets and performance in the interview. The training is provided with the help of Social Justice Department under the state government.
The service is completely free for the job seekers, while the employers are supposed to pay fee for availing the services. The jobseekers can enrol by registering their details on the website www.maargaa.com.
