Emeema and Bineesh

Emeema and Bineesh are proving that not just religion, even language is not a barrier when it comes to love. Even the eyes of the staff at the Sub Registrar Office in Wadakkanchery welled up in tears as Emeema took her pledge in sign language in support of her husband Bineesh.

The two met for the first time at a church in Kuriachira 10 years ago. Bineesh was a regular visitor at the church’s school of sign language. Even though Bineesh could not talk, his character attracted Emeema. After meeting each other, Emeema learned sign language to communicate with Bineesh.

Despite belonging to different religions, the two got married the other day with the permission and support of their families. The wedding took place at the Sub Registrar Office in Wadakkanchery following which a reception was held at Bineesh’s house on Saturday.

Bineesh, the eldest son of Puthuruthy native Bhaskaran and wife Komala, is speech impaired by birth. He studied in a special school in Kunnamkulam. After completing Plus Two, Bineesh learned computer designing and is running a sticker and number plate shop near KELTRON at Athani.

Emeema is the younger daughter of Puthur native Gevarghese and his wife Joicy. She completed Plus Two and a computer course. From now on, Emeema will be the voice of Bineesh.
