Couple arranges feast for mothers of orphanage on wedding day
Adoor (Pathanamthitta): In a compassionate gesture, a couple tied the knot replacing luxury customs with a lovely wedding feast to the inmates of an orphanage here. Jeji, son of Mannadi Kannimala native Samuel and Annamma, and Alice, daughter of Punaloor Edamon native late Peter and Pauli, entered the wedlock on Monday.
After the wedding ceremony in the church, the bride and groom reached Adoor Mahatma Janasevana Kendra, where the feast was arranged. The bride and groom had the feast only after the inmates of the orphanage were served food. They also sought blessings of the mothers of the orphanage.
Employed as a contractor, Jeji happened to meet Alice quite accidentally. Alice completed her education, since class 3 from a boarding school under Kottarakkara CSI. Her father had died very early and her mother fell ill. Jeji decided to marry Alice after knowing her life story. The couple had already decided to avoid luxuries for the function.
