Congress offers help to partially paralysed girl who passed SSLC exam with flying colors
Anchalummood (Kollam): The girl who was carried by her mother and grandmother to school has now passed SSLC examination with flying colours. Thrikkaruva Ashtamudi native Keerthi Santhosh who is half paralysed struggled hard to get good grades.
Ever since Keerthi's father Santhosh died in an accident 12 years ago, the family has been living a hard life. Her mother Smitha and paternal grandmother Vijayamma carried Keerthi to Ashtamudi Government Higher Secondary School which is 1.5 kilometres away from home.
Though Keerthi was given a wheelchair from her school, she can only travel around her house as they do not have a proper path. If they have a 100 metre long concrete path to move the wheelchair, Keerthi can easily move outside for further studies.
DCC president Bindu Krishna, panchayat member Perinadu Thulasi and Congress workers visited Keerthi's house and honoured her for her victory. They also offered help for Keerthi's further studies.
