Karunagappally: Thejas Shyamlal, a class 6 student of Puthiyakavu Amritha Vidyalayam, bagged the Raman Young Science Innovator National award.
The award was presented to 41 students selected from more than 13,000 applicants between classes 5 and 7 from various parts of the country.
The award is instituted by Raman Research Institute with the aim of encouraging students to make explorations using simple materials and to approach science in a fun manner.
Raman Research Institute bestows the ‘School of Science Excellence’ award for excellent performing schools as well. Puthiyakavu Amritha Vidyalayam has bagged this award for the past 2 years.
Principal Swamini Sreecharanamrithaprana conveyed happiness on receiving the award.
