Malappuram: Atheena, a 6th standard girl, has turned the epitome of kindness and love, by donating her hair to cancer patients. Being so determined, she was not bothered to shave her long beautiful hair for a noble cause.
Touching on her shaved head, she stated that she is happy for doing something for cancer patients. Interestingly, nobody mocks her for the shaved head, respecting the cause behind it. Atheena has become a star among her friends with her impressive act.
Atheena is the daughter of Tirur Alathiyoor native Ashokan and CK Bindhu. Ashokan is working as salesman at a textile shop in Tirur.
Atheena is studying in 6th standard at Thirunavaya Navamukunda High School.
“I came to know about hair donation for cancer patients while watching a YouTube video along with my brother Abhinav. Later, I shared my wish with my parents and they granted me permission for hair donation. I donated my hair to the hair bank under Miracle Charitable Association,” said Atheena.
Representatives of the hair bank, based in Thrissur reached Atheena’s house to collect the hair.
“I am really happy that she did something to help the cancer patients,” said Atheena’s father Ashokan.
