Malappuram: It was a major turning point in 32-year-old Fahad's life when he got admission to the Law College. In order to survive his struggling life, Fahad played various roles in life. But he always wanted to be an educated person. This determination helped him get admission to MCT Law college.

Fahad who is running a beauty parlour in Arimbra started dreaming of education when he failed in SSLC exam. He wished to work hard and score good marks. But unfortunately, he was forced to go abroad for a job due to financial problems of his family.

After completing 7 years as an expatriate, he returned to his native place. Later he started the beauty parlour and worked as a beautician and hair stylist. But he was not ready to give up his dream.

He joined Class 10 equivalency programme under Kerala Literacy Mission. Though some people mocked him, later they recognised his effort. He successfully completed SSLC and Plus Two.

“There are many people who failed to go for higher studies. If my life inspires such people to resume their education, it will be a great achievement in my life,” said Fahad.

At present, he is one among 49 law students in the first semester of BBA-LLB five years’ course. His younger brother will take care of his beauty parlor when Fahad is at college. His family comprises his wife Nadeera and two sons Fadhweel and Fahmeen.
