Kakkanad: Being tired of running from pillar to post at the Ernakulam collectorate office, Sanal Kumar, a native of Fort Kochi, entered into a tea stall on the collectorate compound with tearful eyes. He shared his distress with the woman whom he first met in the stall. Sanal had come to the collectorate for medical aid.
Patiently listening to his grievances, the woman took the documents he carried and went through them. She then rang up someone which solved his concern.
Sanal recognised her only after she got into her official car and left the place. The young woman whom he shared his grievances was M S Madhavikutty, assistant collector for Ernakulam district. Madhavikutty had come for a tea at the tea stall run by Kudumbashree.
Understanding the distress of Sanal, Madhavikutty asked her personal assistant secretary P V Sunil Kumar to ring up Ernakulam General Hospital. Over phone, she then directed the health officer of the hospital to give necessary medicines immediately to Sanal Kumar.
She then consoled Sanal Kumar saying all issues have been sorted out and medicines will be delivered once he reaches the hospital. Before leaving the tea stall, she gave Sanal Rs 200 for transportation purpose.
