Amrutha can resume online learning as NRI gifts her mobile phone
Chathannur (Kollam): Amrutha never expected that she would get a new phone from America. Amrutha, a Plus One student, was facing difficulty to continue learning as she did not have a mobile phone to attend online classes.
Namitha Gopalakrishnan, a native of Nedungolam who is currently working in the US, offered to buy a mobile phone for Amrutha when different organizations were trying to get her a phone. On knowing about Amrutha, Plakkad native Sindhu informed her cousin Namitha about the girl and her situation.
Within a day, Namitha sent money to her father Muraleedharan Pillai and arranged to buy the phone so that Amrutha's education would not be interrupted. Amrutha is a native of Plakkad and is studying in Chathannur Government Higher Secondary School.
Muraleedharan Pillai came to Amrutha’s house and handed over her the phone. Children's author Santhosh Priyan, GS Shibu and Ashwin R. Pillai were present during the event.
