After social media post goes viral, Kerala Blasters invites viral 'football kids' to camp
Kochi: The video of the children football committee meeting from Malappuram continues to be a hit on social media. The video was released by charity worker Sushanth Nilambur. Since then so many people turned up to gift these children, a football. In the latest development, Kerala Blasters have invited them to their camp in Kaloor.
Kerala Blasters, in their social media post, said these kids were an inspiration to them and also offered their invitation to the club. Through Facebook, they also informed that the club will give them what they dreamt of and deserve. The club appreciated Sushanth for having captured the video and sharing it.
Sushanth shared a video the other day in which a group of children in his neighborhood convened a small meeting in order to gather sufficient fund for buying a new football. The video also showed them appreciating the players who performed well in their previous matches.
The meeting was convened using the rachis of a coconut leaf as mike stand and a torn plastic cover was used as a shawl for felicitation. In the end, they decided to save money without buying chocolates next week, to buy a football online.
The video which continues to trend on social media has been viewed by more than 2.3 million followers from Sushanth’s account alone. The video has brought back childhood memories for a lot of people. After the video went viral, actor Unni Mukundan and a lot of football clubs came forward extending their support to these children.
