Vizhinjam (Thiruvnananthapuram): A man who has a habit of buying lottery early morning hit the jackpot by evening. Vizhinjam Piravilakam native Raghu (48), a daily wage worker, won the first prize of Karunya Lottery worth Rs 80 lakh. Ticket number PJ 719754 brought him luck.
Raghu buys lottery ticket every day from Sandra Communications owned by Thalakkod native Santhosh. Raghu has been buying ticket for the last three months. Santhosh said that Raghu buys the first ticket every day from his shop. He buys only one ticket.
Raghu calculated his lucky numbers on the basis of registration number of his scooter. After buying tickets regularly for three months, finally he won the prize. His family members also are excited to know the good news.
Raghu plans to use the amount for the higher studies of his son Praveen and daughter Surya. His wife Suni wants to buy 5-cent plot too. Raghu’s mother Subhadra and brother-in-law Rajan also are happy for Raghu’s victory.
