Thodupuzha: For 20-year-old Dhanya Sojan, it was a dream come true moment when officials from Malabar Gold & Diamonds team approached her offering an opportunity to feature in their upcoming advertisement. She has been mitigating a rare condition called congestive heart disorder. Dhanya had only a touchwood while commenting in social media about her aspiration which was taken up by the jewellery.
‘I like to be adorned by ornaments and wish to be a model. Can Malabar Gold & Diamonds give me an opportunity to feature in the advertisement,’ Dhanya from Pattayam Kavala here commented under a video advertisement of the jewellery. The comment grabbed eye balls of the team and they promptly responded to it.
They called up Dhanya and informed her to get ready for the shoot within a week. The shoot was scheduled on August 20. Like she aspired, she was adorned by the ornaments. “I even forget about my disorder. I am grateful to Malabar Gold group,” Dhanya said.
Meanwhile, the director of the advertisement Rohan Mathew has released a video featuring Dhanya’s journey towards becoming a model. Interestingly, the video was shared by Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor on social media which went viral.
Dhanya’s parents Shanty and Sojan gives her the moral support. The youngster who went for her higher studies abroad was identified with the congestive heart disorder in 2019. Due to ailments she did her final semester from the hospital.
She is continuing her treatment for the condition which hampers the blood pumping capacity of the heart.
