Kochi: Wearing new Onam special clothes and a pretty smile on face, little Yun watched curiously the cake cutting and celebrations going on around her in the hospital. Finally, it is time for her to bid farewell to the hospital staff. Eight-month-old Yun is daughter of Maldivian natives Muhammed Yunan and Fatmat Rihla. She returned home from Lisie Hospital here after a complicated heart surgery.

Yun had a complication as her artery and vein were misplaced in the heart during birth. It was corrected through an 8-hour long surgery performed by pediatric heart surgeon G S Sunil and team. Dr Edwin Francis, Dr Jasan Henry, Dr Philip Mathew, Dr Annu Jose and Dr Divya Jacob.
The Maldives government took special interest to arrange facilities for the baby's treatment and journey amid the COVID crisis. The baby's father Muhammed Yunan is a known actor in Maldives and mother Rihla is a channel producer and director.
