Thrissur: Three friends here have initiated a unique campaign to create awareness on the battle against COVID-19. They have started a tour from Kanyakumari to Kasaragod on their bicycles.
The boys have already crossed 1000 kilometres within 7 days on their cycles requesting all to be cautious to prevent the pandemic.
The three friends are identified as Dijin Shaju, Alwin and Divin. They are Plus Two students at Poochatty AKM school in Thrissur.
The ride named ‘K To K’ intends to honour health workers who are in the forefront of the COVID-19 battle and to encourage all to continue the fight against the pandemic.
“During the trip, people in all places cooperated well with us. Some good-hearted people sponsored our food and accommodation. Many people extended support to us after coming to know about ‘K To K’ through social media,” said Dijin.
Vattiyoorkkavu MLA V K Prasanth flagged off their ride on November 24. The trio concluded their trip in Kasaragod on November 30. MLA NA Nellikunnu inaugurated the closing ceremony.
