‘Rajahamsame..’ girl to debut in Midhun Manuel Thomas movie
Ambalabvayal: Renuka, the girl from Wayanad whose ‘Rajahamsame..’ song had gone viral on social media, will soon make her playback debut in Malayalam movie industry with a Midhun Manuel Thomas directorial.
Midhun took to his Facebook and announced that Renuka will sing in his next movie and shared her viral song.
Renuka, hailing from a tribal family in Mananthavady Conventkunnu colony, is a Class 10 student at the Mananthavady GHSS. She has not learned music.
George Kora, a musician from Wayanad, discovered Renuka’s talent and shared the song ‘Thankathoni..’ sung by her on his Facebook page Elsa Media. The video posted on July 2 garnered over 4.5 lakh views. Later the video of ‘Rajahamsame..’ was posted.
Kora had arrived at the colony to visit Mani, a singer who was paralyzed in an accident. However, Mani’s daughter Renuka stole his attention with her songs. An outdoor recording studio was set up inside the colony as Mani couldn’t travel. The father-daughter duo sang songs. However, the daughter’s songs went viral.
According to Kora, Renuka has wide knowledge about music and will surely make heads turn in movie industry.
