‘Maveli’ at railway station with greetings and advice; passengers surprised
Palakkad: The passengers at the railway station were amazed to a see a ‘Maveli’ alive on the platform. The king greeted the passengers a happy Onam and also gave some safety advices.
Though all were confused for a while, they were glad when told that it was part of the awareness programme of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The different style of awareness programme was held at Olavakkode railway station.
The ‘King Mahabali’ went on sharing advices such as to follow the railway rules, not to travel on the footboard of train and also handed over a notice containing safety guidelines. He also reminded people to call 182 for security.
Railway Divisional Security Office staff Ali disguised as ‘Maveli’ as part of the mission. Circle Inspector Gireesh, and SI Kathiresh Babu also accompanied the king during the programme.
