Uthra was sedated before snake bite, reveals Suraj
Kottarakkara: In the controversial Uthra murder case, more details of the statement given by the victim’s husband and accused Suraj have come out. In his statement to police, Suraj revealed that he had given a sedative drug to Uthra before killing her using the snake. The sedative was given to her after mixing it in payasam and juice.

Suraj also revealed that a sedative drug was given to Uthra when he made his first attempt to kill her. Earlier, Uthra continued to sleep when a viper snake bit her at Suraj’s residence. When this matter was questioned, Suraj revealed that a sleeping pill was administrated to her.
Suraj who confessed that he threw the cobra on Uthra, claimed that he did not see the snake bite her and only heard its shriek.
Meanwhile, Suraj in his statement told police that Uthra found a rat snake (Chera) on the staircase before suffering the viper bite.
