Uthra murder: Suraj's mother reiterates his innocence, says none listening to their version
Anchal: Renuka, mother of Anchal snakebite murder accused Suraj, reiterarated that her son is innocent. While speaking to Mathrubhumi News, Renuka alleged that there is no one to listen to their side of the story.
Renuka said that Uthra’s mother would get around Rs 65 lakhs when she retires next year. She had said it would be distributed among her children. Why would Suraj try to kill Uthra under such circumstances? Renuka also said that they did not even ask Uthra’s parents about the 3 acres of land promised to Uthra or why it was not transferred in Uthra’s name.
The dispute regarding the property started on the evening of the ‘sanchayanam’ ceremony. Suraj had said that Uthra’s father and brother assaulted him on that day.
Renuka stated that Uthra told them she was suffering from headache the first time she was bitten by the snake. But she did not say a snake bit her. Renuka asked how would they know if it was a snakebite. Uthra was taken to the hospital at 1 am that night after they noticed bite marks on her.
Since Uthra had to undergo surgery due to the snakebite, she cannot sleep in an air conditioned room. That would reduce her blood pressure level. So the argument that the snake was found in a closed room has no merit, Renuka argued.
