Uthra murder: Probe team recreates incident using dummy
Kollam: In connection with the Uthra murder case, the Crime Branch conducted a dummy trial in order to avoid missing even minor evidences. The murder was recreated using dummy and the video footage of the cobra biting the dummy will be produced as scientific evidence in the court.
The dummy trial was conducted to prove that Uthra was murdered by making the cobra bite her. The experiment was held at the Kerala Forest Training Institute in Arippa in Kollam. The probe team recreated the murder of Uthra using a dummy based on the statement of Suraj and the evidences collected.
The video footage of the dummy trial will be submitted in the court on Tuesday. The probe team assume that this video will be a crucial document for proving the case scientifically. The investigation team has not yet received the results of DNA test of the snake and the forensic examination of mobile phone.
The court has to record the statement of snake catcher Suresh as an accomplice witness. The final charge sheet will be complete after this. The Crime Branch has already prepared a draft charge sheet in the case. The probe team is planning to submit the final charge sheet in the court within August 10.
