Uthra murder case: Suraj's father not cooperating with interrogation, says police
Kollam: Father of the main accused in Uthra murder case, Surendran Panicker, is not cooperating with the interrogation in connection with the case. Suraj’s father, Surendran, had said that he did not know anything about the incident the other day as well. Crime Branch DySP A Ashokan said that Suraj and his family are responding on the basis of legal advise.
Police received information that Surendran Panicker had abused Uthra in an inebriated state. The investigation regarding this incident is also going on. The investigation team collected statements from Uthra’s neighbors. Evidence collection related to Suraj’s financial transaction will take place on Monday. He will be brought to the bank to collect evidences relating to shifting of gold ornaments from the bank locker. Suraj had taken big insurance policies in the name of Uthra, information regarding this will also be examined.
Snake catcher Suresh, who handed over the snake to Suraj, will be interrogated again. He will be asked if he had sold snakes to anyone else too.
