Uthra murder case: Suraj claims innocence before court
Kollam: The district additional sessions court here has decided to begin trial in the controversial Uthra murder case on December 1. The charge sheet in the case was read out in the court on Monday.
The accused Suraj dismissed the murder charges against him and claimed innocence during the session at the court.
Following this, the court ordered to start the trial in the case on December 1. On the first day of trial, the court will hear snake-catcher Suresh who turned approver in the case.
Amidst this, the court rejected the bail plea of Suraj. The court completed proceedings in the case via video conference on Monday.
At the same time, the probe team will file charge sheet in the domestic violence case in which Suraj’s mother and sister were booked.
As per the case, Suraj killed his wife Uthra using a snake at her residence in Anchal on May 7. Only Suraj is named as accused in the case. Though the snake-catcher Suresh was named as accused in the case, he turned approver later.
