This house will prosper only when you die, mother-in-law told Thushara
Kollam: Two years back, a neighbour filed a complaint against Geethalal, black magician and mother-in-law of Thushara. Geethalal’s neighbour Lincy filed a complaint at Kottarakkara Rural Women Cell on July 24, 2017.
Lincy and family lives close to Geethalal’s house and her son is suffering from lung-related ailments. The smoke emanating from the homam held at Geethalal’s house with chilli powder, pepper and hair used to create cough and breathing problems to the child.
Initially, Lincy directly informed Geethalal about the inconvenience caused by her rituals to Lincy’s family, but found no positive response from Geethalal. Lincy, finally filed a complaint with the police. Geethalal also filed a counter petition against Lincy with fake allegations. Following that, police called the two parties and made a compromise on the issue.
Lincy and family could witness all things that happened at Geethalal’s hosue as Lincy’s house was located at a higher plane. For, Geethalal raised the height of the fence with tin sheets to prevent from being watched.
On the day of Thushara's death, Chandulal and Geethalal tortured Thushara and cries were heard from the house, stated Lincy’s college-going daughter Leena. Geethalal was screaming at Thushara saying, ‘this house will prosper only when you die’, said Leena.
Vehicles that came to Geethalal’s house used to park in front of Lincy’s house, which also irked Lincy. Lincy had written ‘no parking’ on the wall.
Once, Thankamani, an Asha worker informed about the life of Thushara to Health department authorities and they arrived at the house to enquire about the matter. However, Thushara responded that she had no complaint. She hadn’t shared about her life to even relatives because of fear.
The neighbourhood of Geethalal’s house has many houses and surprisingly many of them have not seen her since Geethalal and family came to live at Oyur. Neighbours Lekha and Suresh first saw Thushara when her picture was published in newspapers after death. Neighbours were denied entry to the house and Thushara was never allowed to go outside.
Geethalal’s family was living at Prakkulam. Locals there chased her away in the name of black magic. Geethalal’s daughter Jancy was married off to Parandotty near Oyur. Using this link, she bought 5 cent property at Oyur four years ago.
Their house built on the new property at Oyur was demolished several times due to doshas. The present house was again demolished.
Relatives of Thushara has filed case against Geethalal’s husband and daughter Jancy too.
