Thenkurissi honour killing: Victim’s wife to stay with in-laws
Palakkad: The culprits of Thenkurissi honour killing must receive stringent punishment, said Haritha, wife of the victim Aneesh.
Addressing the media along with the parents of Aneesh, Haritha said that she would stay with her in-laws. Haritah also expressed satisfaction over the investigation so far.
“I will stay here from now. I will study hard and get a good job. Then I will take care of my in-laws just like Aneesh did. The government must bring the culprits to justice. They should get stringent punishment, said Haritha.
Meanwhile, Aneesh’s father Arumukhan said that they would treat Haritha as their daughter. “We want her to study further. However, we don’t have the means to support her education so the government should help us,” said Arumukhan. He added that Haritha’s grandfather Kumareshwaran Pillai should also be named an accused in the case.
Aneesh, son of Thenkurissi Ilamandam native Aarumukhan and Radha was stabbed to death on Friday evening. Police have arrested Aneesh’s father-in-law Prabhu Kumar and Haritha’s uncle Suresh over murder charges.
The crime branch started investigating the case the other day.
