Tanur: Tanur police have got into a controversy for giving a distinct form of punishment to suspects taken into custody at the station.
The Circle Inspector forced the people to wear only undergarments and sing songs. The weird incident took place in Tanur CI station in Malappuram district.
Police had taken into custody three person for raising ruckus in the street. When the three were brought to the station, CI Alavi made them sing songs, while they were made to stand with just the undergarments on. The video of CI making the half-naked people sing songs is spreading in the social media. The visuals of three persons standing in a circle and singing songs while clapping hands can be seen in the video.
However, the police have not yet disclosed when the incident took place. The video is shot from inside the police station, which suggests that the police themselves have leaked it.
