Stone pelting at CPM leaders' houses; 2 party workers arrested in Alappuzha
Mararikulam (Alappuzha): Two CPM workers have been nabbed in connection with the incident in which stones were pelted at the houses of two CPM leaders in Kanjikuzhi here, it is learnt.
The attack is said to be a conspiracy to increase the enmity between the CPM leaders, who have differences of opinion.
Mararikkulam police nabbed the accused who pelted stones at the residences of Kanjikuzhi block panchayat president Prabha Madhu and Kannarkadu local committee secretary Santhosh Kumar.
The main accused was working as a driver in the panchayat, which is ruled by CPM, but was terminated two years ago. So, he plotted the attack in order to involve the panchayat president and CPM leader in the case.
One year ago, an issue occurred regarding pasting posters on the walls of the same leaders and the CPM leaders had realised that party workers were responsible for the act.
The leaders also warned them against creating unwanted issues. Now the same workers have been nabbed in connection with pelting stones at the houses of the leaders. Their arrest will be recorded on Tuesday.
