Sheeba murder: Police take Bilal for evidence collection at lodge in Alappuzha
Alappuzha: In the Sheeba murder case at Thazhathangadi in Kottayam, the probe team carried out evidence collection here on Sunday. The police took the accused Bilal to a lodge in Alappuzha where he took accommodation after committing the crime.
It is reported that Bilal stayed here for one hour and 15 minutes and moved to Kochi.
On the day of the murder, Muhammad Bilal arrived in a car at the lodge and took room at around 11.55 am. At 1.15 pm, he vacated the room.
In the statement to police, an employee in the lodge stated that he did not find anything unusual in Bilal’s behaviour.
After leaving the lodge, he abandoned his car near Govt. Muhammadans Girls higher secondary school at Alappuzha which is approximately 600 m away from the lodge.
Later, he moved to Cherthala on a KSRTC bus. After reaching Cherthala, he travelled to Kochi and joined as a worker in a hotel. The probe team nabbed the accused from Kochi.
