Shaju was in love with Jolly before Sily's death, says Renji Thomas
Kozhikode: Renji Thomas, sister of deceased Roy Thomas has come out with more revelations in connection with the Koodathai murder case. Renji said that Shaju was in love with Jolly before the death of his first wife Sily. Renji was responding to reports that Shaju was also involved in the murders.
Meanwhile, Shaju confessed that he was in love with Jolly. Shaju added that he helped Jolly murder Sily and his daughter as they would get in the way of him marrying Jolly. Shaju added that he had revealed this information to his father Zachariah.
According to Renji Thomas, Shaju and Jolly were in love before Sily died. “I grew suspicious about the deaths after Jolly and Shaju got married. During Sily’s funeral, I had noticed a mysterious joy on Jolly’s face. I had told my brother Rojo that soon we would hear about Shaju marrying Jolly. That became true,” Renji Thomas said.
Renji reminded that she had doubted Shaju earlier also. When Sily died, Jolly was spearheading the funeral services, she said and added that she felt Jolly was trying to hide something.
“Following the death of Sily, Shaju became a frequent visitor at Jolly’s house. Shaju lied about not being in love with Jolly. There was suspicion regarding Shaju marrying Jolly less than a year after his former wife Sily's death. I fought to bring these matters to the light,” Renji said.
Renji said she was not responding to Zackariah’s allegations that Shaju was innocent and that he was trapped by Jolly and her son Romo. Renji Thomas thanked the Kerala government and Crime Branch.
