Sexual assault of Class XI girl over fake love relationship: Accused fined, gets 6 yrs jail
Pathanamthitta: The Pathanamthitta Principal POCSO court slapped a fine of Rs 35,000 along with six years of imprisonment against Ranjith (25), accused in the sexual assault case of class 11 girl professing fake love. Judge Jayakumar John pronounced the sentencing.
The incident happened in 2015. Ranjith, who was a private bus conductor, acquainted the girl while commuting in the bus. He faked love and persuaded the girl to his friend’s house, where she was sexually assaulted. After that he took the girl to another friend’s house. However, the wife of Ranjith's friend came to know about the wicked act and took Ranjith and the girl to the Adoor Police.
Adoor police registered a case and arrested Ranjith.
