Robbers strike again, this time in Aluva; decamp with 100 sovereigns of gold, cash
Aluva: Some unidentified people broke into a house at Aluva on Sunday night and decamped with 100 sovereigns of gold and Rs 1 lakh.
The miscreants hit the house of Padinjareparambil Abdulla at Mahilalayam junction in Aluva when the family members were not present there.
Abdulla and family found their house burgled when they returned home from Mamburam on Sunday night.
Police recovered some tools from the premises of the house which might have been used by the burglars to break into the house.
A team of police led by Aluva Sub Inspector reached the spot to collect evidence against them. Police have been on a mission to trace the culprits behind the series of robbery cases in Ernakulam. Earlier, two burglary cases were reported in Tripunithura.
Police have arrested three members of a gang based in Delhi, who are suspected to be behind the robbery in Tripunithura.
