Ramsi's family moves High Court to revoke anticipatory bail granted to Lakshmi Pramod, 2 others
Kollam: The family of Kottiyam native Ramsi, who committed suicide, has approached the High Court seeking to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to the accused including serial actress Lakshmi Pramod.
The petition was filed to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to TV serial actress Lakshmi Pramod, her husband Azharuddin and his mother Arifa Beevi and to arrest them, Ramsi’s father Rahim told mathrubhumi.com.
Rahim said that he will continue the legal battle until they get justice. The details regarding the case will be revealed only if the accused are arrested and interrogated. Rahim also stated that it was a small lapse from the part of the prosecution that led to the accused securing anticipatory bail.
The Kollam Principal Sessions Court granted anticipatory bail to the accused including Lakshmi Pramod on Monday. The anticipatory bail was granted on the basis of the conditions that they will appear before the investigating officers before October 15.
If their arrest is recorded, the accused will be released on bail on a bond of Rs 30,000 and surety of two individuals. Other conditions include that the accused should not leave the state or try to influence the witnesses. Meanwhile, it is reported that the crime branch team has summoned the three accused for interrogation.
Ramsi committed suicide after the groom backtracked from his promise of marriage. The groom, Harsh Mohammed, was arrested earlier. However, Ramsi’s family alleged that Harish’s brother Azharuddin, his wife Lakshmi Pramod and her mother-in-law Arifa Beevi also had a role in the case.
Ramsi's family alleged that it was Lakshmi Pramod who took Ramsi out of the house and compelled her to perform abortion. Ramsi's family also alleged that Harish’s mother mentally abused her. The case is being investigated by a crime branch team led by SP KG Simon.
