Mukkam: In a brave move, Mukkam police recovered a car that was stolen during a trial run. The owner of the car had advertised on an online selling site. After seeing the car, the buyer said he liked it and need a trial run before fixing the deal. During the trial run he escaped with the car. Following that, Sanal lodged a complaint with the Pandikkad police.
The thief then removed the number plate of the car and disconnected the GPS. This put the investigation in further trouble. Meantime, the thief approached a Wayanad native to sell the car. Before buying the car, the Wayanad native inspected the interiors of the car and found the registration certificate. He contacted the phone number mentioned in the document.
The fraud came to light when he talked to Sanal. Following this, the Wayanad native stepped back from the deal. Sanal soon passed on the information to police. Based on the information, Mukkam police contacted the thief expressing interest to buy the car. Police introduced themselves as Neeleswaram native and asked to bring the car to Neeleswaram.
