Pallivasal murder victim found COVID positive, causes delay in procedures
Idukki: Class 12 student Reshma, who was murdered near Pallivasal, was found to be Covid positive. This has caused a delay in the procedures including the detailed examination of the body.
Meanwhile, police has intensified the search for Anu, who is one of Reshma’s relatives, in connection with the crime. The visuals of Reshma, who was stabbed to death, walking with Anu in the evening before she went missing, has come out. There were issues in Reshma’s family regarding her friendship with Anu. Police are looking into this as well. Police suspect that this could be the reason for the murder.
Police also found a mobile phone near the area where the body was found. This is suspected to be Anu’s mobile phone. As per the primary investigation, the murder was carried out using a chisel.
Reshma, who is a class 12 student at Bison Valley Higher Secondary School, went missing on Friday. Her parents filed a complaint with the police as she did not return even after school time. Meanwhile, locals informed the family that they spotted the girl with Anu near Pallivasal Power House area. Following this, Reshma’s body was found inside the forest nearby.
