Thrissur: An online sex racket, allegedly being run from a rented house at Muringoor here was busted. Police arrested 10 people including two women from the spot.
It is reported that customers were brought to the house after establishing contact via online. The house was under police surveillance after receiving information regarding the sex racket.
Koratty CI B. K. Arun and team raided the house and arrested 10 people including 8 men and two women on Tuesday night.
It is learned that the customers were taken to the rented house after showing the photos of women through an online platform. People behind the sex racket received money from customers through online transactions.
According to reports, people were taken to the rented house from morning.
Police reported that Vettilappara native Sindhu operated the sex racket. Many cases are registered against Sindhu.
ASI K. Suresh, ASI M. S. Pradeep, Shibu Paul and Woman CPO Aswathy were also in the police team that busted the sex racket.
