NIA takes Swapna, Sandeep for evidence collection in TVM
Thiruvananthapuram: The NIA officials took Sandeep Nair and Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, for evidence collection in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. The officials are carrying out the evidence collection after splitting into two teams.
The probe team carried out a primary inspection at the Heather Tower flat near the Secretariat. It is reported that the accused hatched the smuggling conspiracy at this flat. From the flat, they moved to various spots where the accused used to gather for discussions related to the crime.
Apart from Heather Tower flat, NIA carried out the evidence collection in Royal Furniture at Kesavadasapuram and Swapna’s flat at Ambalamukku.
After the evidence collection at the flat in Ambalamukku, the accused were taken to NIA camp at police club here.
