Nepali labourers, who robbed house while family was away, nabbed in Kollam
Oyoor (Kollam): Pooyappalli police has taken three Nepali youths into custody for theft. The accused, Rageshshahi (32), Sumanshahi (27) and Deepak Pariyar (22), broke into a house when the owners were away from home.
The incident happened on November 17. Kudavattur native Gopinathan and his family had gone to attend the wedding of a relative when the theft happened. The thieves, after entering the house, searched all the rooms in the house and ended up stealing a mobile phone worth Rs. 5000, that was kept on top of a table in the hall room. The family got to know about the incident when they returned from the function.
All the three accused are workers in a dairy farm owned by a Kundara native in Kareepra. The first accused, Rageshshahi, has been living in the farm with his family for two years. The other two accused reached Kareepra three weeks back. They were caught in the investigation led by cyber cell. Pooyappally SHO Vinod Chandran, SI Rajesh Kumar, ASI Gopan, SCP’s Santhosh, Hari were part of the investigation squad that arrested the accused.
