The Thrissur West police, who are investigating the murder case, have filed an application to take Rasheed in custody. The police had arrested KPCC former secretary M.R. Ramadas on Monday night for helping Rasheed to escape.
The police ascertained the details about Rasheed’s hideout from Ramadas.
However, Rasheed surrendered before the court on Tuesday. The police had questioned Rasheed’s close friends after taking them into custody. With this development, Rasheed could not remain in his hideout and he surrendered before the court.
