Thiruvananthapuram: A youth was beaten up by a group of people in Neyyattinkara. Kudapana native Sajeev, a labourer at the fish shop at TB Junction market here was attacked by the mob. The critically injured Sajeev has been admitted to the medical college hospital.
The incident took place at 2 am on Saturday. Sajeev was beaten up for questioning the overspeeding of the vehicle carrying fish that entered the market. The visuals of the attack have surfaced.
Meanwhile, police said that there were issues between Sajeev and some other labourers in the market and this led to the attack.
A case has been registered and the probe is underway, they added.
