Kozhikode: Three people were injured when a man, who was released from a jail here amid growing concern over COVID-19, attacked the local people. Moozhikkal Cherichil native Akshay attacked Cherichil natives Moosakoya, his wife Aamina and daughter-in-law Ruksana.
The injured were admitted to Kozhikode Govt. general hospital.
Chevayur police registered a case against Akshay as per Moosakoya’s complaint. But Chevayur CI informed that the accused is absconding from the police.
“He has been attacking us frequently for the last 5 years,” said the injured people.
