Kodakara black money case: K Surendran named as 7th witness in charge sheet
Thrissur: In the controversial Kodakara black money case, the investigation team has named BJP state president K Surendran as the 7th witness in the charge sheet. The team has submitted the charge sheet before Irinjalakuda court on Friday. The 625-page charge sheet has listed 22 accused and 219 witnesses.
The charge sheet revealed that the money was brought from Bengaluru and BJP Kerala Chief K Surendran who was named as a witness in the case was aware of transporting the money to Kerala.
The charge sheet also hinted that Dharmarajan has close links with Surendran and BJP State organisation secretary M. Ganeshan. Dharmarajan who has been named as the second witness in the case was reportedly assigned to bring money from Karnataka by the BJP state committee secretary and office secretary. Harikrishnan, son of K Surendran has been also named as a witness in the case.
The probe team has also proposed further investigation into the case. The team will also hand over a copy of the charge sheet to Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department as black money transactions associated with Kodakara black money comes under their purview.
