Karnataka native’s death in Manjeswaram: Wife, lover under custody for murder
Kasaragod: A middle-aged-man from Karnataka, who was found dead on the National Highway at Kunjathur in Manjeswaram here, was murdered by his wife and boyfriend, reported police.
The deceased was identified as Hanumantha, a resident of Devipura in Karnataka.
Police informed that they recovered evidence which proved that Hanumantha was murdered. Hanumantha’s wife Bhagya and her lover Alla Pasha were taken into custody over murder charges.
Hanumantha was found dead on the National Highway at Kunjathur in the wee hours on Saturday last. His scooter was also found near the spot. Hence, the police assumed that he was killed in a road accident.
But police found something mysterious in the death as there were no accident injuries on his body.
On November 5, Hanumantha reached home and found his wife along with her boyfriend Alla Pasha. Following this, an argument broke out between the trio. Hanumantha was beaten up by his wife and boyfriend. When Hanumantha fell on the cot, Alla Pasha strangled him to death.
Later, Bhagya and Alla Pasha took the body to the National Highway and dumped his body at Kunjathur. The accused also abandoned his scooter at the spot.
Police interrogated Hanumantha’s wife Bhagya after confirming that he was not killed in a road accident. She confessed to the crime after days-long interrogation.
