Karakonam murder: Shakha was strangled before electrocution, reveals autopsy
Thiruvananthapuram: The post mortem of Karakkonam native Shakha Kumari was completed at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. The post mortem report stated that Shakha was strangled at first and was then electrocuted while unconscious.
It is reported that police will soon record the arrest of her husband Arun, who is under custody.
Police found out that the murder took place on Saturday morning. They spotted blood stains during the inspection at the house. It is reported that the investigation officers will reveal more details after Arun’s arrest is recorded.
Arun had stated initially that Shakha was electrocuted from the electric decorations in the house. However, police took him into custody and interrogated after locals alleged mystery over the death. It was then the death was proved to be a murder.
Arun and Shakha got married on October 20. They were involved in a relationship for more than 4 years. However, Arun’s family was not aware of the wedding. Things started getting rough between the couple once they got married. Arun was provoked when Shakha shared their wedding photo on social media and compelled him to register the wedding. Arun was also disturbed by the taunts from his friends regarding their age gap. Meanwhile, Arun received Rs 10 lakh and a car from Shakha. He even admitted to the investigating officers that he married Shakha for her money.
