Kochi: The Ernakulam North police on Tuesday arrested Himaval Bhadrananda on charge of attempting to spread communal hatred.
Upon receiving a complaint that Bhadrananda’s posts on Facebook were portraying certain communities in bad light, the police checked them and booked him.
The police summoned him for interrogation and recorded his arrest. Further, he was subjected to medical tests.
He will be presented at Ernakulam Additional CJM Court.
The verdict in a case related to Bhadrananda using gun inside Aluva Circle Inspector’s office was scheduled to be pronounced on Tuesday. However, the court deferred it.
