Gold smuggling: NIA team takes Sarith for evidence collection in TVM
Thiruvananthapuram: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) started evidence collection in Thiruvananthapuram with gold smuggling case accused Sarith. The NIA team arrived at the capital city on Tuesday morning. First they went to Sandeep Nair's rented house in Aruvikkara. It took only five minutes for evidence collection here.
Then the probe team and Sarith went to Swapna Suresh's flat in Ambalamuku. Evidence collection took place at the flat in the sixth floor of the building. Later, the team went straight to Kuravankonam area.
The NIA team did not inform regarding their destination. The convoy stopped in front of a housing colony at Kuravankonam for a while and continued journey after taking a picture of the name board.
The probe team also collected evidence at a few hotels in Nandavanam and Ulloor. Then they went to Heather Apartments near the secretariat. It is learnt that Sarith will be taken to the cargo wing of the airport also. However, the NIA team has not disclosed more details regarding this.
