FIR on Kasaragod murders says political killings, CPM involved
Kasaragod: FIR filed prepared on the murder of two Youth Congress activists in Kasaragod on Sunday night said that the incident was political killing and hinted CPM local area leadership behind the heinous act.
Police received testimony that the Kripesh and Sarath were threatened by CPM local area leaders. Based on this, investigation is leading towards the CPM local area committee leadership.
It was a planned murder. Kripesh and Sarath who were returning home from a temple festival nearby, were attacked by a gang. They were blocked on the way around 7.30pm and were hacked to death. Their legs were severely injured. The attackers hacked Kripesh repeatedly who ran nearly 15 minutes to save himself after being hacked. Police haven’t received any information about the vehicle used by attackers.
A handle of machete used to attack was found from the spot by police. The case is investigated by special team headed by Pradeep, DySP of district crime branch.
Bodies of Kripesh and Sarath are kept in Pariyaram Medical College. Kasaragod SP A Srinivas said that investigation will also look into possibility of conspiracy behind the death.
