Family fears threat to sibling of Walayar victims
Palakkad: The life of the younger brother of the sisters who were killed in Walayer is in danger, said the family members. The family told Mathrubhumi Online that two people came to the hostel where the brother was residing and asked about his whereabouts. The strangers on bike enquired to the security officer about the boy.
The brother was transferred to a hostel by the state Child Welfare Committee for security reasons after the death of the two sisters came to light. But the strangers came here and asked the security officer if the boy still resides in the hostel. The mother fears that there is an attempt to sabotage the life of her only child.
The boy, who is the youngest child in the family, had given a statement that he saw one of the accused, who was later acquitted, leave the house just before the younger sister was found hanging.
The family alleged that stones were pelted at their house after the deaths of the two sisters. Following this, they had filed a complaint with the Walayar Police.
