Drugs worth Rs 3 crores seized in Thrissur; Two nabbed
Thrissur: An excise team nabbed two persons from Thrissur and seized drugs worth Rs 3 crores from them. The accused have been identified as Midhin (25), a native of Thrissur and Chinju Mathew (26), a native of Kannur.
Midhin, who runs a business of ornamental fish store used to sell drugs online. Chinju used to sell hashish oil directly to those who deposit money to his account. The excise team has seized 2.250 kilograms of hashish oil, 1.05 grams of MDMA and 2.60 grams of amphetamine.
Midhin who was nabbed on Thursday morning with drugs used to sell drugs online with the help of social networking sites. He used his ornamental fish business as a cover for his drug dealings.
Excise officials nabbed Midhin based on an information from a school student. Chinju was nabbed based on the information collected from Midhin’s phone. The excise team nabbed him on Friday from near the Thrissur railway station and seized the hashish oil.
