Thiruvananthapuram: Kalabhavan Sobi has made some new revelations in connection with the death of violinist Balabhaskar. Sobi revealed that he saw a prominent member of the music industry at the accident spot.
Sobi revealed this to the CBI but did not tell them who that person was. Kalabahavn Sobi said that if CBI cannot find that person through investigation, the officials can brain map him and identify the person.
Kalabhavan Sobi has also informed CBI of his consent to undergo brain mapping. He wants it to be done as soon as possible. Sobi told the media that it was a murder and that he expects the CBI investigation to bring out the truth.
CBI had collected evidence from the accident spot, Mangalapuram police station and a petrol pump in the presence of Sobi and other witnesses on Thursday. They also inspected the Innova car in which Balabhaskar travelled.
Apart from Sobi, a retired SI and a bus conductor, who were part of the rescue activities at the accident spot, were also summoned by the CBI on Thursday. All of them reiterated their statements given to the Crime Branch.
They said that the rear windshield of the car was not destroyed, as Sobi had claimed and added that they had to break it open while trying to rescue Balabhaskar and his family.
While some of the witnesses stated that it was Arjun in the driving seat, the bus conductor contradicted and said that they had rescued Balabhaskar from the driving seat. These contradicting statements are a major hurdle in front of the CBI team.
