Thiruvananthapuram: CBI team investigating the death of violinist Balabhaskar collected evidence from different places in connection with the case. The first evidence collection of the case was done in the presence of Kalabhavan Sobi, who alleged that the violinist was murdered.
The CBI team collected evidence from the petrol pump, where Sobi had parked his car, near the accident spot and from Mangalapuram police station.
Sobi had stated that Balabhaskar’s blue Innova car was damaged by a group of people when he was resting in his car near the petrol pump. The CBI team collected details from the petrol pump employees as well. The employees stated that the pump is usually opened only until 11 pm and that they did not see glass pieces of the vehicle near the premises the following morning.
The investigating team visited Mangalapuram police station to inspect Balabhaskar's blue Innova car. After inspecting the car, they asked Sobi about more details in connection with the incident.
Sobi had revealed that he saw a group of goons, who came in a Mahindra Scorpio, damaged the rear windshield of an Innova car that came in behind them. Following this, another Innova car came to the spot. Another group of people stepped out of it and damaged the windshields of the blue Innova. Following this, all three cars went towards Thiruvananthapuram.
Later when Sobi traveled towards Thiruvananthapuram, he saw that the blue Innova car had met with an accident. But when Sobhi stopped his car near the spot, some people screamed and ran towards him. They told Sobi to leave the place immediately. Sobi also saw two people leave the area pushing their motorbike.
Recently, Sobhi had revealed that one of the two men was Sarith, the main accused in the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case.
