Accused in Shamna Kasim extortion case shoots Tik Tok video in police jeep
Kochi: Shareef, the key accused in the Shamna Kasim extortion case has shot a Tik Tok video inside a police jeep, latest reports confirmed.
Currently, the jeep is used by the Vadanappally police in Thrissur. As the incident triggered controversy, DCP Poonkuzhali and IG Vijay Sakhare informed that a probe will be carried out over the incident.
Earlier, this jeep was used at Meenakshipuram police station in Palakkad. Later, it was taken to Malakkappara police and Vadanappally police stations.
At the same time, the police have no clue about the place from where the accused shot the video.
Meanwhile, IG Vijay Sakhare reported that Shareef is the key conspirator in the blackmailing case.
"Statements of the complainants will be recorded. Actors and models were cheated in the pretext of gold smuggling. A probe is on to identify whether anyone in the film industry is linked with the gang," the IG told the media.
However, Shareef’s family members claimed that he is innocent. His mother Badarunnisa said that Rafeeq, another accused in the case, had trapped him. Shareef’s brother also repeated the same.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that Shareef was named in some criminal cases. He is an accused in many cases including a scuffle at a bar in 2018.
